As an Enterprise Requirements SME at MITRE, you will help shape enterprise capabilities in support of a variety of programs related to Law Enforcement, National Intelligence, and government Information Systems. If you are interested in working on some of the most challenging technical and programmatic issues facing our national security sponsor located in Washington, DC, we are interested in talking to you about MITREs work program and career opportunities. A successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and will be motivated, self-directed, excited to learn new skills, and up for a challenge.

 

You will help build and mature a new unit dedicated to the enterprise improvement of media exploitation and digital literacy for intelligence and investigative needs.  The unit will focus on the innovation and integration of technologies and techniques throughout the field, while conducting outreach to identify new and emerging trends, needs, threats, and technologies throughout the Intelligence Community and private sector.

 

The role will:

      Provide technical expertise in the planning, execution, and refinement of government entities.

      Develop and document evaluation guides, templates, Standard Operating Protocols (SOP),  and other artifacts necessary for efficiency, continuity, and organizational agility.

      Work closely with stakeholders to document the vague ideas and needs into concrete requirements, and create the processes to prioritize and track these requirements.  This role must effectively bridge the gap and translate between non-technical personnel and technical requirements.

      Advise leadership how to improve business processes using standard methodology, such as job task analysis, and to identify where technology can most improve the enterprise.

      Assist sponsor in research into best practices and emerging needs to guide future efforts and policy development.











Required Qualifications: 

  • Top Secret Clearance with a CI Poly

  • Proactive self-starter with excellent organizational and listening skills.

  • Clear and effective communicator at all technical levels, ranging from advising senior leadership to guiding junior staff.

  • Able to transition easily on a wide variety of tasks with competing priorities.

  • Skilled in requirements analysis, business process analysis, and business process improvement.

  • Broad technical knowledge, as applicable to the integration of information systems,  data management, and data exploitation.

  • An understanding of how laws, policy, and privacy requirements can impact technology systems and information sharing within the Law Enforcement and Domestic Security community.

  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet savvy; strong working knowledge of Excel strongly preferred.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Open Source Intelligence operations within the Law Enforcement and Domestic Security community.

  • Basic familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and practices for conducting compliant market research and exchanges of information with the commercial sector.

  • BS degree in Systems Engineering, IT, Data Science or a related technical field with some prior software systems engineering work experience.

 


Minimum Qualifications:



Bachelors Degree in one of the following disciplines, Electrical,  Computer or Systems Engineering or similar field and 8 years related experience.  The candidate should possess the ability to define projects or programs greater than themselves.    Candidate understands that he/she will be responsible for work and/or customer relationship development and will acts according toand guides others towardthe proper balance of a) product depth with timeliness and b) technical improvements with programmatic constraints, even when hard compromises are required. Preferred candidates will be recognized by senior management as a thought leader.
