Join MITREs growing Enterprise Strategy and Transformation Technical Center, where you will have opportunities to apply your enterprise transition planning and management or implementation planning expertise to address complex issues of critical national and global significance. We will provide you with challenging opportunities to help customers achieve successful operational transitions or new capability implementations and to apply and expand your skills.

The Enterprise Transition Planning and Execution Department focuses on capabilities such as Enterprise Transition Planning and Execution, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Shared Services to support our customers. We typically work on fast-paced projects as leading and contributing members of multi-disciplinary teams from across MITRE.

We are looking for experienced, highly-motivated candidates with expertise in Enterprise Architecture / Solution Architecture, leading enterprise transformation projects, developing and providing information to decision makers, and developing compelling visualizations to support decision making.


Key Functions:
Applying EA concepts to support the following program management activities:

  • EA Strategy, development, and operations

  • Application of EA Frameworks

  • Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities

  • Assessing an EA program

  • Implementing and improving governance of an EA program 

  • Application of a structured methodology to respond to significant internal or external changes in the government environment

  • Determining the value of the EA program to the organization

  • Apply Solution Architecture to enact transformation projects in Agile environments, to include developing conceptual, logical, and physical architectures

  • Assist government staff in communication transition benefits and plans to leaders to gain buy-in and approval

  • Act as a thought leader in the advancement of Enterprise Architecture within MITRE and across government, industry, academia, and professional societies  


Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in applying one or more of the following capabilities in complex environments:

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills

  • Experience in advising, leading, or managing complex projects

  • Ability to establish trusted relationships with MITRE sponsors and act as advisor to senior government staff and executives

  • Enterprise Architecture

  • Solution Architecture

  • Systems Architecture

  • Large scale transformation projects

  • Program/Project management

  • Transition Management

  • Operational Concept Development

  • Alternatives Analysis

  • Gap, Impact, and Risk Analysis

  • Operational and Business Analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Management Science, or related disciplines desirable
Experience working with multiple Government departments or agencies is preferred, but experience working on transformational projects in other complex environments such as state and local government, non-profit organizations and private sector may be considered
Candidates holding current/active US Government security clearance(s) are preferred

Minimum Qualifications:
BS and 8 years related experience
