Responsible to successfully define, implement and certify miscellaneous special projects (development, product improvements, special projects, third part supplier coordination, etc…) for S-92 civil helicopter.  In addition, the Engineering Team Lead will coordinate with the S-92 Programs, Operations and Engineering to ensure on-time delivery of S-92 aircraft to meet our contracts and customer commitments.  Responsibilities include proposal development creating Program Work Authorization (PWA); identifying product enhancement; provide technical leadership and management of diverse engineering disciplines, project planning, risk management with mitigation plans, and provide technical solutions; conduct weekly project status meetings; assist in development of aircraft projects ; Work with ITAR/Export classifications and communication for new customer configurations and ultimate program execution following contract award. The Engineering Team Lead will assist when needed to ensure robust and timely response to all field and safety issues as well as proactive planning to address all field technical issues.  Frequent customer communication and collaboration is required to establish a joint product roadmap that maximizes customer value.  Travel is required approximately 15% of the time.  Responsibilities also include coordination and communication with the functional engineering teams to ensure resource requirements are understood and fulfilled and that best practices are leveraged and applied. The S-92A Engineering Team Lead has the responsibility to develop, maintain and improve engineering processes and ensure their integrity.  Responsibilities include training and aligning the organization on the standard processes including use of the ACE tools.  The S-92 Engineering Team Lead is also responsible to work with functional management for employee development and career planning, employee assessments, salary planning and promotions.  This position reports to the Chief Engineer of the S-92 program

Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of Project Management, IMS, Project Financials, EVMS, MS project, MS Access, and the ability to manage multiple projects and people is required.  Good interpersonal skills with an understanding of customer/program requirements and experience with managing production/engineering schedules is required.  Knowledge of FAA certification procedures, production processes and engineering processes is desired. Experience working with ITAR/Export classifications and dual use documentation is required. Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and organizational skills are required
