Selected candidate will join the F35 Pilot Devices training team as an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) overseeing the development of the Distributed Mission Training (DMT) Project. Position will report directly to the Market Segment Chief Engineer for F35 Training System and become a valued member a leadership team responsible for Pilot devices, Mx Devices, Training Infrastructure and TSCC engineering. In this capacity the successful candidate will provide overall leadership and engineering management support for DMT software / hardware releases and provide leadership across the domain including customer interface, change board oversight, cost and schedule adherence and technical performance for this complex logistics management system. DMT is a growth segment of the Pilot Devises portfolio that will be deployed globally; DMT ETC is 40M+. Selected individual will lead a team of over 40 engineering professionals to evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases while coordinating activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Selected individual will manage multiple concurrent engineering design and development efforts and exert influence to the overall objectives by coordinating with F35 Training System Development Director and VP level staff and applicable government acquisition authorities (Domestic and International). Directs and oversees the conversion of customer and product requirements into total systems solutions; acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Candidate will manage the functional / timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications for projects and product release offerings. Selected candidate will be responsible for the creation, monitoring, and presentation of performance metrics, design and test artifacts as they related to DMT capabilities. Candidate will be responsible to recruit, mentor, and evaluate performance of multiple technical teams and act as an advisor while resolving critical and complex technical and/or operational challenges. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and be capable of working at all levels of the organization, internal and external, to manage technical, cost and schedule project objectives. Facilitate process improvement for the deployed products, services, and associated developmental integration laboratories

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience supporting the systems engineering discipline addressing challenging DOD and/or commercial requirements for systems, and product design architectures. Proven leadership experience with demonstrated accomplishments and career growth in the area of complex, IT based, sustainment infrastructure deployment, system integration/test, and project leadership is highly desirable. Previous department level management experience considered a plus. Demonstrated expertise in System Engineering process with a focus on development of products and manufacturing including transition of designs through product deployment for the DOD market is desirable. Formal Program/Project Management training and experience is a plus

Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired skills
Training and or Simulation Background a plus. Familiarization of DIS or HLA communication Schemas a benefit. Strong System engineering and Integration experience with complex real time systems. Demonstrated expertise in System Engineering process with a focus on development of products and manufacturing including transition of designs through product deployment for the DOD market is desirable. Formal Program/Project Management training and experience is a plus
