This position is for the Counter Target Acquisition Radar (CTAR) Market Sub-Segment Chief Engineer reporting to the Electronic Warfare and Radar Sensor System (EW&RSS) Chief. It is a Leadership position that includes management of a unit comprised of Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) and Technical Directors (TDs). The successful candidate will be responsible for technical, cost, and schedule oversight of all Engineering support for the CTAR Business Area. Candidate must possess extensive Radar development experience and understand its use on ground-based platforms.

The CTAR Chief will collaborate with the Program Director, Program Managers, and Technical Directors to develop long-term product and personnel development strategies for both the CTAR program area. This market sub-segment comprises a significant amount of development and production work for the AN/TPQ-53

This position involves extensive interfacing with the customer, subcontractors, suppliers, and oversight agencies. Requires coordinating with all stakeholders (customer, upper management, and suppliers)

Basic Qualifications
Must have technical experience with the development of radar systems.

Must be familiar with the system design of complex radio frequency and digital systems as well as their application to both existing and new product offerings

Experience interfacing with engineering functional organizations spanning multiple sites and be capable of assembling/leading large engineering teams. Must be proficient in scheduling, costing, and engineering processes

Desired skills
Possess extensive Radar development experience and understand its use on ground based platforms.

Excellent communication skills (verbal/written/presentation)

Previous functional management experience preferred

Customer interface experience

Development of technical roadmaps and experience developing a strategic vision
