The TUHP Manufacturing transitions engineering manager will assist the TUHP Chief engineer in providing leadership and accountability for internal program execution and customer interface related to all engineering aspect of the manufacturing transition. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to assume a technical leadership role.

The TUHP Manufacturing transition engineering manager will also be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• Provide engineering oversight on all technical/engineering manufacturing transitions elements including, but not limited to:
o Composites part qualifications
o Dynamic components qualifications
o Special Process and deviation approvals
o Technique sheet approvals
o 3D FAI
• Be the engineering focal point to the Manufacturing Transitions program manager
• Identification and closure of technical issues for manufacturing transitions, including customer remote and on-site technical requests.
• Coordinate between the different engineering disciplines and ensuring that all SME’s are aware of the TDP that has been transferred to TAI and SME’s selected for on-site TA have the expertise/background required by TAI
• Provides timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements and works with TUHP Chief Engineer to ensure RPS is up to date.
• Act as the liaison between the Aerostructures organization and the TUHP program for the collection and distribution of the Aerostructures and Final Assembly S-70i Buyback data package
• Represent Manufacturing Transitions in the Grey Beard CRM case review process and the JCCB. Ensures the proper coordination of the EC release cycle process to support manufacturing activities
• Manage the integration of TAI into the S-70i Black Hawk Change board to support Sikorsky’s Buyback activities. Manage the T70/S-70i cross change board activities to ensure timely release of engineering data on both platforms
• Interface with various functional disciplines including program management, supply chain management, finance, contracts, operations, supportability, and quality
• Ensure Technical Risks associated with Manufacturing Transitions are being managed and updated as manufacturing start-up progresses at TAI

Basic Qualifications
• Preferred candidate would have 8 - 10+ years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility and demonstrated success in managing cross-functional complex projects.
• Extensive knowledge of aerostructures manufacturing and assembly, flight operations, and completions center activities
• Candidate must have strong leadership skills, be a self-starter, have good technical problem-solving ability, good interpersonal skills, and be comfortable operating in a process improvement and earned value environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (required)
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Desired skills
Masters of Science in Engineering (preferred)
