Faculty Position

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of San Diego (USD) announces an opening for a faculty tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor with a PhD in the area of Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Areas of focus comprise Computer Systems (including architecture, IoT and embedded/real-time systems, networking, hardware security, software, compilers, O/S, parallel systems, etc.), AI, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Machine Learning and Data Science, and Digital Systems Design: (1) FPGA and (2) VLSI with impact on high performance integrated circuits, and non-von Neumann circuits and architectures.

The successful candidate will be expected to strengthen cross-discipline undergraduate engineering education and must have the potential to help develop a computer engineering program and establish a strong teaching record in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Additionally, the candidate must be able to develop an outstanding research program.

* The position on offer is at the Assistant Professor level. Requirements include a PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering and a willingness to fully support and participate in the ideals and mission of USD.
