Job Details

Performs engineering work making independent decisions on problems and methods in the field of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, (E3). Candidate will be responsible for overseeing equipment EMI qualification efforts. Candidate will be expected to apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate equipment for EMC. Candidate will review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Candidate will interface with vendors and Navy technical representatives; support vendor design reviews and testing; develop drawings and other documents IAW Mil-Specs and contract drawings; interface with other disciplines and departments to ensure a seamless integration of assigned systems into the shipboard environment; address and resolve technical issues, and make decisions on problems in his/her area of responsibility; support shipbuilding production department as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years related experience; or Master's degree with seven (7) years related experience.

Requires experience in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, (E3); working on equipment EMI qualification efforts.
