This position is the Test Engineering Manager for the Common Controls and Avionics Center of Excellence. The role is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to execute completion of System and Sub-System test architecture development activities, requirements verification, hardware software integration, and Equipment Console build and test. This role is the primary representative to Lockheed Martin senior leadership and customers. Responsibilities include task planning, performance reporting, technical leadership, technical adjudication of issues, staffing management, employee development, and training. Demonstrated experience with Test Systems development and deployment in missile, spacecraft, or avionics applications, as well as experience leading a team of engineers, is highly desired. Lead must have demonstrated experience in effective communication with senior level leadership, peers, and subordinate engineering staff
Additionally, this selected individual will be responsible for managing, organizing and providing Engineering support to Engineering Development Labs for prototype, breadboard and Engineering Unit development, integration and test

Basic Qualifications
1. Requires a BS degree and/or MS degree combined with experience and specialized training commensurate with the position. Must have applicable experience in test and test support systems with broad technical skills and development experience throughout the program life cycle.

2. Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and produce results by successfully prioritizing technical, cost, and schedule objectives and balancing multiple assigned objectives and tasks. Familiarity with and operates by Full Spectrum Leadership principles.

3. Ability and willingness to serve in a challenging functional leader ship role with the additional responsibility in a program like construct to service LM programs

4. Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers

5. Ability to support occasional business travel

6. Proficient knowledge of SSC CCA and PCB Design process

7. Ability and willingness to acquire Security Clearance

Desired skills
1. Demonstrated FSL-style leadership of multidisciplinary teams

2. Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers

3. Experience with Missiles/Interceptor applications

4. Demonstrated experience in the requirements generation, design, integration, qualification, verification, and validation of Electronics/Avionics for missile, spacecraft or aircraft avionics applications

5. Knowledge and experience in motion control design

6. Experience with in-house manufacturing
