Flight Test Common Services Business Position – – lead the development, writing, coordination, and submittal of proposals, estimates and schedules for Flight Test Common Services (FTCS). Duties will include coordinating inputs from Flight Test Operations, Instrumentation, Data Processing, Manufacturing and Procurement leads into one cohesive flight test proposal that will include estimates for engineering and manufacturing man-hours, engineering dollars, material dollars, schedules and all aspects of a flight test program FTCS is responsible for. Proposals will also require coordination with Lines of Business and Engineering Technology IPTs for requirements definition. Position requires a broad knowledge of test methods for tactical aircraft, test aids, test aircraft modifications, test aircraft test support, flight test instrumentation design and manufacturing, and real time and post flight test data processing. Actual ground and flight test experience is highly desired. Strong internal customer focus, reinforced with excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are a necessity

Requires the interpretation of customer requirements to develop cost effective design and support solutions to ensure customer satisfaction while supporting Company financial objectives. Develops and maintains cost rationale for engineering and manufacturing teams. Assist in instrumentation activities from requirements definition through acquisition, manufacture, aircraft modification and flight support. Position will participate in the identification/coordination of needed resources to accomplish specific flight test program objectives. Position will provide guidance to the FTCS Control Account Manager role for planning and execution efforts and responsible for reporting team performance to FTCS leadership

Previous experience in planning and conducting flight test programs, designing and manufacturing flight test instrumentation data acquisition systems is highly desirable. Experience with aircraft/systems development and modification programs, new aircraft sale campaigns and flight test engineering programs a plus. Strong personal computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software tools is required

Candidate should be able to demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and experience in interfacing with a variety of functional organizations. Must be a team-oriented individual able to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Will support technical leadership and management in a variety of other assignments as required to accomplish team objectives. BS Degree in Engineering preferred or Business Degree with technical experience

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in any of the Engineering Sciences or a Business Degree with 2 years of technical experience
Previous flight test experience.
Experience with aircraft/systems development and modification programs. Knowledge of EVMS concepts and how to apply them

Desired skills
Previous experience in planning and conducting flight test programs, designing and manufacturing flight test instrumentation data acquisition systems. Previous experience in developing cost proposals and developing historical cost data for future projects. Experience with Systems, Applications, Products Software (SAP). Experience with Hyperion/Accounting Data Analysis and Reporting (ADAR). Strong personal computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software tools
