Job Details

The position is for an Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) designer that will provide support for heritage Special Test Equipment (STE) including troubleshooting and designing upgrades to existing STE for upgraded UUT capabilities, and development of new STE for new flight hardware designs.
Scope includes, but is not limited to:
- Conceptual design, requirements derivation, detailed design
- Oversight of STE build and integration
- Equipment Functional Checkout Procedure (EFCP) with requirement verification
- Support of STE after delivery to card owner for anomaly resolution and user familiarity

As part of this role, the selected candidate will be expected to mentor and coach others in all aspects of EGSE/STE design and support

Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in electrical design
- Demonstrated hands-on electronic troubleshooting experience
- Experience with COTS instrumentation used in data acquisition and/or signal characterization applications
- Experience in developing or revising technical documentation using MS Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point)

Desired skills
- Demonstrated experience with design and test of EGSE/STE
- Demonstrated experience working with customers providing user instruction and troubleshooting anomalies
- Demonstrated experience with both electrical hardware design and software design that is typically incorporated in EGSE/STE
- Experience in electronics test design
- Experience scripting with Python, PERL, or C languages
- Demonstrated knowledge of project cost and schedule management
- Demonstrated ability to mentor others in all aspects of EGSE/STE design and support
- Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to act independently
- Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent presentation, oral and written skills
