Job Details

Fleet Ballistic Missile Heritage (FBM) and Test Missile Kit (TMK) Space System Company program. Responsible for production, re-qualification activities, hardware tests, deployed system support, maintenance of component/system specifications, and ownership of design, analysis, and interface documentation. Candidate will provide technical oversight and direction to the subcontractor and work with FBM teams to ensure successful integration of the packages and compliance of the product with all program requirements. Spec and ICD maintenance; technical evaluation of design and requirements verification; technical evaluations for fiscal year proposals; Pedigree and quality documentation closure, leading failure review teams to closure, vetting critical tests and analyses; taking part in status reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs); certifying the packages are qualified for End Use service

Basic Qualifications
1. A minimum of a BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field
2. Familiarity with Electrical Engineering simulation tools (such as SPICE). Experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power or supplies)
3. Experience in development, integration and testing of digital and/or analog circuits.
4. Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with stakeholders (e.g., subcontractor, customer, Systems Engineering Integration and Test, and multiple M&P and parts organizations) and manage closure of Action Items and Liens.
5. Experience working with Subcontractors and sub-tier suppliers
6. Ability to become a Lockheed Martin Certified Principal Engineer
7. Working knowledge of electronic component qualification requirements, including EMI/EMC and/or survivability.
8. Light to moderate travel may be required. TDY/travel may be required as part of the Reshaping FBM effort for 2019/2020
9. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship

Desired skills
1. Analog and/or digital design, analysis and testing experience is highly desired.
2. Experience with performing formal root cause analysis
3. Must work well in a team environment with good interpersonal, communication & organizational skills
4. Experience with automated test management software (Test Stand, Test Studio, or MATLAB)
5. Digital and analog board and box level experience.
6. Experience with Missile flight electronic components and [1st req] power distribution, [2nd req] flight controls or initiation subsystems a plus.
7. 5 years of subcontract electronic component development experience.
8. Familiarity with the LMSSC CPE Program and other engineering processes and disciplines
9. Experience with LMSSC Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) process.
10. Previous experience as a CPE of analog and digital electronics is desired.
11. Experience in various phases of aerospace electronic component development cycle. Knowledge of front-end product development, including generation of requirements and interfaces, mechanical and thermal packaging, analog and digital design, and transition to production experience.
12. Capability of understanding and evaluating information provided by the subcontractor and to make recommendation to LM FBM management based on their inputs.
13. Ability to produce and present informal / formal status briefings to both LM Program Management and Customer
