The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program within SSC provides satellite vehicle launch processing for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program’s two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program include satellite transportation, satellite processing facilities, satellite propellant loading, support facility operation and maintenance, clean room operations, plus safety and environmental services

As a Security Systems and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Engineer with the Vandenberg AFB PLSSS team, you will be responsible for the design, purchase, installation, integration, validation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and updating of perimeter intrusion detection and video management systems, software, and servers

The selected candidate will work alongside the industry’s most talented mechanical, civil, electronic, and electrical engineers. The ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams is essential. A 9/80 workweek schedule is an available option. Occasional odd shifts, travel and overtime may be required

The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. You must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearances and access authorization including SCI

Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience installing, integrating, and troubleshooting Video Management and/or Security and Event Management systems and software

• Demonstrated experience implementing COTS communications, CCTV, Security systems.

• Strong organizational skills, interpersonal/team skills.

• Ability to multi-task, good time management skills

• Must be a US citizen. The applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Desired skills
• Design, Integration, and Troubleshooting of
- CCURE 9000 Security and Event Management systems and software
- Balanced Magnetic Switches, Tampers, Card Readers, Field Panels
- Intrusion Detection and Perimeter Alarms
- Digital Video Recording and Playback
- multi-channel networked video recording/archiving
- multi-channel networked video switching and playback
- Fixed and PTZ CCTV cameras (IP and analog)
- Audio/Video systems

• Experience integrating Security and CCTV systems with each other
• Experience with Cinemassive, Evertz, or similar Video Wall technologies
• Experience with system security scanning and patching for accredidation
• Experience with the XACTA accreditation process
• Personal certifications such as Security+, CCNA, CISSP
• Experience designing, maintaining, optimizing Local Area Ethernet Networks
• Experience terminating and testing fiber optic cables
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
• Active TS/SCI is a definite plus
