Description: EW Project Manager / Task Leader
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced project manager to lead funded research projects in Electronic Warfare and Avionics Systems Hardware in the loop (HITL) test environments. This individual will provide both programmatic and technical oversight of research programs while maintaining customer expectations and satisfaction. Excellent communication skills in both internal management and team member settings as well as external sponsor interactions are required. A strong technical background with demonstrable problem solving skills in analyzing and debugging integrated systems of systems is also required.

INTERNAL TITLE: Research Engineer/Scientist II; Senior Research Engineer/Scientist
EW Project Manager / Task Leader
Lead sponsored research programs in EW or Avionics test. A background in either systems engineering, hardware or software development is required with preference toward systems of systems integration and testing. EW and DoD experience is preferred. Must have experience with technical presentations and preparing documentation for research proposals.
REQUIREMENTS THAT MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- US Citizenship AND the ability to get a security clearance
- BS/BA, 5-10 years’ experience in software, electrical or systems engineering along with at least 2 years project management / task leadership experience
- Experience with technical presentations and proposal documentation.
- Solid understanding of EW Principles
- Software, firmware and/or hardware development and integration processes
- Understanding of HITL test equipment requirements, design and usage
- Solid understanding of common interface protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, etc.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, equipment, protocols and software utilities
