Job Details

Position is for an Electronic Warfare / Electronic Attack (EW/EA) Engineer within the LM Aero Mission Systems and Weapons function. Candidate will work closely with the Advanced Sensors Lead Engineer and the ADP organization to research emerging EW systems, engage with the USG Science and Technology (S and T) and academic communities to shape investment decisions, identify and support cross-collaboration opportunities across LM Aero platforms, and develop strategies to advance the EW/EA competency across the LM Aero engineering workforce

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in development and integration of EW systems onto fixed-wing aircraft
- Experience with reprogramming capabilities and tools, including translating threat data into reprogramming data, and changes to optimize aircraft fielded performance
- Experience with Electronic Protect (EP) techniques, technology, and electronic countermeasures
- Experience with EA and Electronics Support Measures (ESM) concepts

Desired skills
- Knowledge of advanced EW concepts such as cognitive EW, deep learning, and adaptive Radio Frequency Countermeasures (RFCM), and advanced Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM).
- Knowledge of fixed-wing EW operations in contested environments.
- Experience with EW system performance estimation concepts (including evaluating Jam-to-Signal (J/S), Minimum Discernable/Detectable Signal (MDS), etc.)
- Experience working with the USG S and T community and academia on advanced EW concepts
- Knowledge of open architectures and software-defined radios
- Systems Engineering experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills
