Title: Electromagnetics Researcher (Entry/Junior-level) - ACL - 1449

Description: The Electromagnetics Division (EMD) at GTRI is seeking a qualified entry or junior-level researcher to join our research team. Candidates must have a B.S. in engineering, physics, or a related field (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred, or the candidate must be willing to pursue an advanced degree). Qualified applicants will have experience with antenna design, electromagnetic materials characterization, computational electromagnetics, RF design, electromagnetic measurements, integrated circuit design, signal processing, or related areas. Specific tasks could include performing electromagnetic measurements, designing broadband antennas, designing integrated circuits, and presenting results to sponsors. Eventually the candidate will be expected to lead authorship of research proposals and manage new programs.

Requirements:

Research Scientist I

This is the initial rank held by research personnel who have at least a bachelor's degree and who will be performing on a professional level.

Research Scientist II

  • A Master’s degree and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
  • A Master’s degree and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree.

Experience: Candidates should have 0-5 years of experience. Experience (either coursework or prior employment) in antenna design, microwave engineering, electromagnetic theory, signal processing, electromagnetic measurements, circuit design, or computational electromagnetics is recommended.

Other: Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
