Old Dominion University, Department of Engineering Technology invites applications for full-time faculty position in its Electrical Engineering Technology Program. The position is at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor. The position will commence in the Fall of 2018.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of marine electrical systems, electrical circuits, linear/digital electronic circuits and systems, electrical machines, and power systems, as well as engage industry and professional organizations, and perform department and university service. Also required is the development of a research program supported by external funding and scholarly activity.

A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or closely related field is required by the expected date of hire. For all candidates some industrial experience is required. Professional experience in maritime field is preferred.
