Job Title:Electrical Engineering Summer Intern

**Most important tasks and responsibilities:**

Our engineers are involved in all phases of product development from initial identification of customer needs to high volume production implementation. Emphasis is on the use of state-of-the-art concepts, materials, and assembly technologies. This is a hands-on position for an individual who wants to see her/his ideas embodied in successful products.

As an intern you responsibilities could include:

+ Support multiple new applications, defining use of existing ASICs and new ASIC needs.

+ Build and test prototype samples.

+ Work in teams to solve complex technical problems and support high volume production lines.

+ Create engineering prints and specifications.

+ Use computers to model device performance and visualize complex designs.

+ Apply statistical methods to data analysis.

+ Interface with customers on key design issues.

+ Work in teams to identify and implement the best possible solutions and support high volume production lines.

+ Responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.

+ Determines design approaches and parameters.

+ Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.

+ Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.

# Educational requirements: _Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering_

# Additional requirements:

+ U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident is required for this position

+ Design creativity - - Must have hands-on analog and digital electrical circuits design

+ Understanding of microelectronic assembly

+ Understanding of process control fundamentals and product test processes

+ Evidence of participation in team-based project work and ability to fill multiple roles.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while maintaining strong sense of individual responsibility.

+ Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with superiors, peers, subordinates, suppliers, and customers.

+ Electrical Engineer must be able to to work in a fast-paced development environment with complex project attributes.

+ Ability to develop unique, differentiated solutions to complex problems.

+ Demonstrated evidence of proven creativity and innovation.

+ Ability to meet demands of customers on schedule and within budget.

+ Strong team leadership and team membership skills working with cross-functional teams (quality, marketing, purchasing, process, etc.).

+ Strong sense of individual responsibility.

+ Desire to work with global teams.

Because this position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must: (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident (i.e., "green card holder") of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, provided that you have applied for naturalization within six months of the date you first became eligible, and if not yet accepted, you are actively pursuing naturalization after two years from the date of your application.
