Electrical Engineering Intern (SCADA & Analytical Services)



Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities



Under the guidance of multiple experienced engineers, the successful candidate could be involved in some or all of the following tasks:





+ Design and programming of supervisory control and data acquisition systems



+ Developing computer database models of electric transmission and distribution systems



+ Analyzing electrical system options



+ Performing load flow, short circuit, arc flash analysis



+ Protective device coordination



+ Preparing long and short range planning studies





Required Education/Experience





+ Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.



+ Successful completion of junior level courses in power system analysis and/or power system protection.



+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA.



+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.



+ Candidate is interested in consulting engineering and the electric utility industry.



+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.





Desired Education/Experience





+ An emphasis in a power systems option would be a plus



+ Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for successful completion of tasks.



+ Prior internship and/or related engineering experience is a plus.



+ Students who have passed or are scheduled to take the FE/EIT exam will be strongly considered for this position.
