$97,968 - $119,088 Annually, Plus Excellent Benefits

East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) one of the nation’s largest independent water and wastewater utility, seeks an experienced Assistant Engineer. Assistant Engineers (Electrical) perform a variety of professional electrical engineering assignments in connection with the operation of a large municipal water supply and wastewater utility. Experience preparing schematics, interconnection and one-line diagrams; switchgear, transformer, MCC (Motor Control Center), VFD (Variable Frequency Drives), and panelboard layout design; PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface) programming; in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and NFPA 70E; and performing protection and coordination of industrial and commercial power systems is highly desirable.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in an ABET-accredited electrical engineering curriculum OR a California EIT Certificate and two years of electrical engineering experience (subsequent to obtaining the degree).  An advanced degree in an accredited electrical engineering curriculum may be substituted for one of the required years of experience.
