This position is to support Electrical Engineering’s Instrumentation (Telemetry and Flight Termination System - FTS) Group. The position involves integrating/designing telemetry and FTS hardware for flight test support.  The effort encompasses the full life cycle of electronic systems development from requirements definition, design trades, and interface definitions, to design/development, integration/test, and troubleshooting. The position requires strong electronic systems design, integration, testing, and excellent troubleshooting skills. The position involves mixed analog and digital design, software development, and hardware/software troubleshooting. Experience in VHDL (Xilinx and Microsemi Part family internal FPGA fabric and IP and model based compilers) and software knowledge (C, C++, Java, Visual Studio .NET) is highly desirable.

It is desired that the candidate have a diverse skill set and be flexible with day to day activities.  The candidate will be required to interface with various Engineering disciplines within the organization. Excellent verbal and written communications skills to interface with subordinates, peers, supervisors, and customers is required.  Work is performed in Dallas but requires travel to support testing in field environments.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth

Basic Qualifications
-Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance
-Strong electronic systems design, integration, testing, and excellent troubleshooting skills
-Ability to understand schematics, generate interconnect diagrams and troubleshoot hardware
-Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field

Desired skills
-Experience in VHDL (Xilinx and Microsemi Part family internal FPGA fabric and IP and model based compilers) and software knowledge (C, C++, Java, Visual Studio .NET) is highly desirable.
- Experience with integration of supplier provided subsystems.
-The following experience is desired: Missile Integration, Interconnect Diagrams, Electrical Interfaces, Flight Test or Field Support
-Diverse skill set and be flexibility with day to day activities
