Job Details

Will assume the lead responsibility for the following activities:
• Maintain the Sikorsky Avionic Cockpit Systems Integration Labs (CSIL) at the Stratford Connecticut facility and at a supplier facility in support of all required test activities;
• Develop Engineering Test Procedures for avionic subsystem and system integration tests in the Sikorsky CSIL;
• Support avionic/mission system integration testing at the mission system supplier’s aircraft system integration lab (ASIL);
• Develop Flight Test Activity Procedures for aircraft ground and flight testing,
• Conduct SIL and aircraft testing for avionic systems;
• Perform investigative troubleshooting in the CSIL, ASIL and on the aircraft as necessary;
• Prepare pilot briefings prior to flight test to make pilots aware of capability updates or issues;
• Prepare test reports for submittal to the program customer;
• Interface with the customer and respond to any test related questions and report comments;
• Participate in Engineering Change Proposal discussions and estimate preparation activities related to adding new features to the existing design;
• Supervise other Avionic Lab personnel
• Support Program Management by attending weekly and monthly status activities, providing weekly status reports
• Support Flight Manual development for Avionics/Electrical sections and address pilots/customer questions
• Support aircraft build and fleet to troubleshoot and resolve Avionics/Electrical issues

Basic Qualifications
• Must be effective working in a highly collaborative team environment to accomplish program objectives. Strong verbal and writing skills are essential. Looking for hands-on expertise in design, analysis, development, test and operation of aircraft systems and avionics sub-systems (helicopters preferred)
• 6+ years’ technical experience in Avionics Systems or related product design and development
• 6+ years’ technical experience in requirements definition, architecture, integration, verification, and qualification
• Familiarity with Military and/or FAA certification standards
• Knowledge of Mil Standards, Digital Busses architecture (Ethernet, ARINC-429, MIL-STD- 1553)
• Must be a USA citizen or US person
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a SECRET security clearance

Desired skills
• Will require periodic travel to international locations, as well as other Sikorsky facilities within the United States
