Lockheed Martin Unmanned Integrated Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer to advance the state-of-the-art in UAV technology. The selected candidate will perform Electrical Hardware Engineering functions in support of the Fury UAS platform. LM-UIS is located in San Luis Obispo, CA (on
the beautiful Central Coast). We are seeking a very talented and highly motivated engineer for this position. This position Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks as well as design, assessment, hands-on troubleshooting and analysis. Duties include creation of wiring diagrams, electrical loads analysis, schematic design, circuit board layout, test design and support. RF system testing/troubleshooting and RF link budget experience preferred. Working with a small team in a fast paced environment the engineer will recommend design changes to improve functionality, durability, reliability, maintainability, and performance as appropriate based on test results, industry best practices, trade studies, and relevant advances in technology.The engineer will apply technical expertise to develop solutions to complex problems and will have in-depth knowledge of related disciplines. The engineer will work closely with vendors and suppliers to develop improvements that can be implemented on the FURY platform. Basic Qualifications
This position requires a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or
closely related technical field and a minimum of 5 years
professional experience or 3 years professional experience with a masters degree. Demonstrated design experience with wire harness, schematics and PCB's. Software experience with Altium and Zuchen E3 or similar suites. Electronic packaging design for vibration, temperature, mechanical, and EMI performance. Strong verbal & written communications skills are required

Desired skills
Experience with Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems is desired. Experience with RF theory, design and integration and test is a plus. Experience with Satcom systems design, test and validation is desired
