Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Department in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering design and technical support for a variety of projects that could involve any of our manufacturing or pilot plants

Specific accountabilities include:

* Developing subject matter expertise on equipment within a facility, with particular emphasis on electrical and process control systems

* Planning and directing small to medium sized projects for equipment installations and upgrades to process equipment, controls and electrical systems

* Working with engineering teams to design, develop and implement control systems for new or modified equipment in support of new product launches or new manufacturing capabilities

* Maintaining documentation on process and equipment systems, and participating in training of new craftsmen and technicians on the systems

* Developing and implementing controls and equipment solutions to improve productivity and efficiency of operations at manufacturing facilities or pilot plants

Specific Skills

Qualifications include:

* A BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience

* Basic equipment design and troubleshooting experience

* Knowledge of basic PLC based control systems I/O and networking

* Experience with CAD based drawing and modeling

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Excellent teamwork skills

* Basic awareness of project management fundamentals

* Willingness to accommodate extensive travel and extended time in manufacturing and lab environments that require the use of personal protective equipment

* Willingness to perform hands on implementation of designs (wiring, installation, modifications)
