We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, with a focus on RF/Microwave, to join our Mission Systems team here in San Diego. We are looking for someone who enjoys developing architectures and integrating hardware in a fast paced environment. The successfully chosen candidate will report to the Manager of RF Systems Engineering

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Draw upon a broad background in architecting radio frequency, digital, and signal processing electronics in order to flow down system requirements to the electronics module and component level.
  • Develop architectures to meet these requirements, lead the development of these modules, provide technical management of subcontracts
  • Perform integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electronics subsystems.
  • Assist with the development of higher level test procedures, assembly aids for production and preparation of design documentation for release to production manufacturing.
  • Support supplier evaluation and proposal development.
  • Perform analysis of candidate designs to determine the impact to subsystem and system performance.


*Job Qualifications
  • Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or
    PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited
    institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more
    years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience
    with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD.
  • Previous experience with modeling and analysis
    of electronics systems, subsystems and circuits is required
  • Previous experience programming FPGAs for radio and
    radar applications is required
  • Previous experience with Matlab, Simulink, Mathcad, and
    PSpice software is desired
  • Proficiency with Labview or Python programming software
    is desired
  • Must be a team player with excellent communications
    skills both verbally and in technical writing
  • Must be able to prepare and conduct detailed technical
    presentations and reviews
  • Some travel and extended work schedules may be
    required
  • Must be customer focused, formulates plans based on the
    development of innovative new designs in resolving advanced technical
    engineering problems
  • Must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a
    team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
    is required
