This project will require a degreed Electrical Engineer (BS degree minimum) who has a minimum of 5-10 years of analog circuit design experience, with demonstrated successful implementation, production and release into the marketplace of industrial, military, or consumer electronics. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates that have experience designing to UL standards and have experience using the Altium design tools suite.











The tasks will focus on electrical design of circuits that will add functionality to an existing client product. Candidate will work in conjunction with a internal Mechanical Engineer to implement the following functionality (1) pass through of signals from an (existing) rear terminal board to an (existing) main unit. (2) circuit design to implement isolation circuits for low voltage (LV) industrial inputs and outputs (4-20mA) (3) circuit design to implement a low current 120VAC to 24VDC power supply circuit that will supply power to field devices (4) circuit design to convert existing solid state Digital outputs to contact-type digital outputs (5) circuit design to sense main unit removal and switch a LV process signal to a “loop back” circuit that will return it to the rear terminal board.







If necessary, the candidate will simulate the circuit or build prototype circuits to verify the functionality of the design. Output of this stage will be an electronic schematic that will be reviewed internally and by the end user. After approval, the design will be implemented on a double sided or multi-layer PCB design. The PCB design will meet CuL or CAN/CSA 61010 requirements and also be subject to EMI/EMC design requirements. Output of this phase will be fab ready gerber files and BOM. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing fabrication of the PCB and assembly of the board in an in-house assembly environment. The candidate will then be responsible for functionally testing the implemented design and verifying that it meets all functional requirements.







Contract duration will be approximately 13 weeks.
