Job Details

Provide Component Engineering Support across site product lines throughout the product development lifecycle with focus on semiconductors and microcircuit commodities. The engineer will monitor existing designs for obsolescence and develop strategies to mitigate the obsolescence. The engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to include hardware engineers, systems engineers, and circuit design engineers as manufacturers’ representatives.

• Design, development, assessment, troubleshooting and analysis
• In addition, duties may include development of technical reports, plans, procedures for qualification test and evaluation of redesigns and prototypes to ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Applies technical knowledge to solve complex problems by documenting design drawings, manuals and/or documents, performs other duties as assigned
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Work in a fast-paced environment to stringent deadlines
• Document and maintain electrical drawings

Basic Qualifications
Must be able to obtain a US DoD Secret clearance
Proficient with electronic systems schematic interpretation
Knowledge of electrical component parameters and packaging
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
Possess good oral and written communication skills; and be self-motivated in performance of duties with limited supervision
Demonstrated attention to detail is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment are required.
Ability to interface and work with vendors
The ability to multitask is required.
Strong organizational skills are required

Desired skills
Experience with hardware design, and documentation
Experience with EPDM or similar engineering parts data management tool
Experience with CAD Library development
Experience with Zuken, CR5000/8000, E3 or Similar CAD tool
Experience documenting designs in support of manufacturing builds
Experience creating Component Engineering Drawings, Source Control Drawings (SCD), and/or Vendor Item Drawings (VID)
Prior engineering experience within the Aerospace, Aeronautics, Defense, Space, Automotive, or Electronics Sectors is desired
Candidate should be comfortable interacting with Customer technical community in Skype meeting environment
