Enflite, a subsidiary of LifePort, located in Georgetown, Texas, designs and produces top-of-the-line cabin accessories, sectional pocket doors and galley equipment for executive and first-class commercial aircraft. The company is currently searching for an experienced, energetic, dependable, and knowledgeable Electrical Engineer (EE) to lead and drive the electrical engineering functions. Assignment will require EE to support Enflite and LifePort (in WA)

While the Lead’s role will be diverse in supporting hardware, software and firmware operations, the primary duties will be to lead technically and coach other electrical engineers in all areas related to our technology.

Lead performs the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, products, and systems.
- Designs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for aerospace applications (consisting predominantly of business and commercial aircraft)
- Designs and coordinates with engineering personnel in the fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products
- Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new aerospace applications (consisting predominantly of business and commercial aircraft)
- Directs activities to ensure that engineering, manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements
- Develops functional testing criteria, maintenance and functional hazard assessment reports for all electrical system designs
- Understands and directs engineering design to comply with D0160 qualification requirements.
- Assists in qualification testing process of electrical components and products
- Coordinates with customer contacts to determine project design requirements
- Researches and selects materials and components to meet design requirements
- Creates, organizes and releases complete drawing packages without assistance
- Supports manufacturing or building of prototype product or systems
- Determines feasibility of designing new or modifying existing equipment and/or products considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors
- Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect long range product engineering planning
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Provide performance feedback formally/informally; rewards/recognizes employee contributions
- Supports continuous improvement processes and initiatives for functional areas of responsibility
- Maintains data bases and mines information to have real-time and accurate reports measuring goal accomplishments.
- Demonstrates commitment to achieving ESH (safety) goals and objectives including compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and training requirements for a safe workplace.
- Ensures compliance with company’s ethical standards, policies, procedures, guidelines, manufacturing standards, etc.
- Upholds company values, ethics, mission and vision.
- Develops/maintains performance metrics and manage to highest efficiency
- Completes special projects commensurate with position

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related area
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in electrical systems and/or in the design of printed circuit board assemblies including demonstrated competency in circuit design and analysis, circuit simulation and functional verification

Engineer must be able to travel up to 50% of the time to support LifePort in Woodland, WA

- AutoCAD Electrical
- Harness design & drafting
- Component selection
- Familiar with EMI and EMI troubleshooting / resolution
- Familiar with firmware/software development process
- BOM/library maintenance & development
- Component selection/substitution- Cadence
- Experience with designing to DO-160 compliance
