Function: Product Engineering
Title: Electrical Engineer, Hardware - 25352
As an Electrical Engineer-Hardware, at John Deere's Construction & Forestry Dubuque Works location, you will work with suppliers on development of embedded systems hardware (operator displays, controllers, keypads, sensors, etc.) for C&F equipment. In addition, you will:
+ Work with suppliers on the development of new electrical components forconstruction and forestry equipment.
+ Support the development of common system level feature requirementsand guidelines while building capabilities in systems engineering.
+ Provide problem solving expertise on embedded systems issues forvarious machine platforms.
+ Participate on enterprise teams as the embedded systems representativefor the Construction and Forestry division.

What Skills You Need
+ Experience (academic or practical) with various electronic circuit topologies.
+ Experience (academic or practical) with electronic components, such as: Micro Controllers, memory technologies, analog and digital circuitry, etc.
+ Ability to understand and critique electrical/electronics schematics and designs.
+ Ability to work with suppliers in the application and design of electronic components.
+ Ability to write hardware requirement documents and other technical documents, such as design guidelines.
+ Experience working in a team environment and solving technical problems.
What Makes You Stand Out
Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:
+ Previous electrical engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work.
+ Knowledge of CAN and LIN Communications.
+ Design experience for operator displays or embedded controllers.
+ Experience in validation and verification of electronic/electrical components.
+ Experience designing electronic/electrical components for embedded systems and harsh environments.
Education (or equivalent work experience)
+ Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or other relevant discipline.
