Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area in Dallas, Texas is looking for an electrical engineer with Guidance and Control experience to support a major missile program. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated knowledge and experience with both inertial navigation systems and control subsystems. The candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to successfully serve as the deputy technical lead for G&C hardware procurement and integration efforts

The Candidate will provide technical oversight and monitoring of a major subcontract and related sub tier subcontracts. The Candidate must be able to work in a collaborative IPT environment and will be responsible for representing LM in several IPTs. The candidate must be a self-starter with good organizational skills

Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This is Lockheed Martin’s lead business unit for research development and production of manned and unmanned ground-vehicle systems, electro-optical and smart munitions systems and is a pioneer in the field of versatile, high-performance missile and rocket technology

Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth

Basic Qualifications
- Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Prior experience in GNC or similar function

Desired skills
- The candidate should have experience and knowledge using Matlab or similar simulation software application for guidance and control development and test.
- Previous integration and test experience is desired
- Experience across engineering disciplines is desired.
- Experience in risk management and earned value management is desired
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and involvement
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills
- Problem solver / solution focused
- Flexibility / teamwork oriented
