Global design & manufacturer of electrical components used in the utility & energy storage vertical continues to grow and seeks Electrical Engineer to join their design team!

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

+ Collaborate with Designers and Engineers to design new fuse parts and assemblies

+ Develop test methods, both electrical and mechanical, and work the laboratory team members to perform tests

+ Interpret, analyze and summarize data, identify trends, prepare reports, and formulate conclusions

+ Develop and implement project plans, which include test plans and project schedules

+ Work with customers and sales to answer application questions regarding the use of fuse products

+ Work with customers on the phone or in the field to resolve design or manufacturing related issues

+ Evaluate and issue reports on returned products

+ Work with shop team members to trouble-shoot shop issues and develop feasible solutions


To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

+ BS degree in electrical engineering (or related field), MS degree preferred.

+ Ample knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and theory with an emphasis on power engineering.

+ Significant experience in the design and development of medium and high voltage fuses

+ Ample knowledge of IEEE and IEC standards for medium and high voltage fuses.

+ Good electrical/mechanical aptitude to be able to aid in the design of electromechanical systems

+ Very good interpersonal and organizational skills.

+ Very good problem-solving skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Project. Knowledge of SolidEdge CAD/CAM is a plus.

Relevant Experience Required:10-15 years of experience as an electrical engineer in an electric utility, design, or electrical equipment manufacturing environment.
