Job Details

Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, wiring; and power systems/devices for the generation, transmission and control of electric power

  • Justification

 

We are looking for an experienced RF/ Wireless Electrical Engineer to be a part of the product development team that will define the next generations of Bose wearable headphone products.

You will be involved in several different areas of wireless design, including the following:

  • Conversion of system requirements to relevant radio performance metrics
  • Evaluation of vendor chipsets
  • Wireless (BT/BLE/Wi-Fi) Antenna simulations and Design
  • Compare performance metrics of different antenna types and evaluate tradeoffs
  • Prototype build and board bring-up
  • Impedance Tuning of Antenna designed
  • Optimization of existing technologies to enhance performance in challenging usage scenarios
  • Design and optimization of RF coexistence and performance in multi-radio applications
  • Design and execution of novel experiments and tests to assess system-level performance
  • Validation of prototypes at every Design stage.

Qualifications and Experience:

Strong technical skills including knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • RF communication systems
  • RF transceiver topologies and principles of operation
  • Link budget, path loss, Receiver Sensitivity and wave propagation principles
  • Impedance matching, smith charts, filtering, s-parameters
  • Common consumer radio designs/operation:  Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, ZigBee, etc.
  • Radio architectures, modulation, radio processing and behavior
  • Protocols:  Wi-Fi, BT, BLE
  • Radio evaluation techniques
  • RF equipment:  VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF scope, power meter, etc.
  • RF PCB design Guidelines
  • Regulatory compliance and certifications

Experience:  5+ years of relevant industry experience in RF / Wireless Engineering
