Job Details

KSQ Design is a national planning, architecture, engineering, and interior design firm seeking an Electrical Engineer to be a key part of our Charlotte, NC office.

The applicant will work on K12, collegiate student life, healthcare, and multifamily housing projects, throughout all phases of the project life cycle to ensure a high quality product. The applicant will work as part of a team to create a project design that satisfies the client’s needs, regulate its progress, abide to all financial budgets and deadlines, and see the project to completion. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, team players, interested in personal and professional growth and learning, and have excellent design and production skills.  Compensation is commensurate with experience. 

Requirements

The candidate should have the following skills:

  • Professional Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5-10 years’ experience
  • Candidate must be licensed. 
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with all project managers, clients, senior level staff, production team, and consultants
  • Ability to perform lighting calculations
  • Knowledge of NFPA-70, National Electric Code and NFPA-72, National Fire Alarm Code
  • Ability to prepare electrical technical specifications in CSI format
  • Strong proficiency in Revit preferred
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Word
  • Local candidates living in the Charlotte area are strongly preferred
