This position is the Certified Principle Engineer (CPE) responsible for the MSP Block III Enhanced Mission Data Controller (EMDC) as well as the new SENTRY camera system components and electronics. In this role the CPE will be responsible for overseeing the flight hardware build, test, and delivery of the EMDC electronics box built by our supplier SEAKR Engineering. The EMDC is the central part of MSP Block III's new Data Management Subsystem capable of network speeds that are 32X faster than previous Block missions. This design has completed development, environmental qualification testing and is currently in flight hardware build. The EMDC CPE is the technical lead for this hardware ensuring that all required ship sets are successfully delivered to the program and verified to meet all program requirements. The CPE also is the LM team's primary POC to provide leadership, guidance, and technical direction to the team during flight hardware test anomaly investigations. In addition to the EMDC component this position will also be responsible for a new camera system called SENTRY. This consists of 6 cameras, illuminators, and a control electronics assembly. This is also a new capability for Block III and this effort is at the front end supplier source selection stage of procurement. The CPE will be the technical lead for this component development effort ensuring this new capability gets procured and integrated onto the MSP space vehicle platform successfully. This position will report to the MSP Data Management Subsystem IPT manager within the MSP Spacecraft Avionics organization

Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with development, build, and test of satellite electronics system hardware components
Satellite electronics hardware component technical lead experience
- Demonstrated experience with integration, test, and requirements verification of space electronics
- Technical experience with supplier procured space components
- Willingness to provide on-site support at supplier facilities as required
- Excellent flight hardware troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of fishbone and root cause, corrective action analyses
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and time management skills
- Must have a TS or SCI clearance

Desired skills
Demonstrated experience as an electronics hardware component Certified Principle Engineer (CPE) with Lockheed Martin Space
Demonstrated experience with satellite command & data handling (C&DH) and/or guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) system hardware components
Working knowledge of high speed network protocols and designs such as XAUI, SRIO, and Spacewire
Working knowledge of high speed digital designs including ASIC and FPGA implementations
Working knowledge of space optical imaging components
EMRB certification
