Specific Job Description
This entry level position provides valued real world experiences within the aerospace testing and manufacturing field. You will work directly with and around FBM D5 missile hardware and support equipment. Individual works in a production environment within production buildings to address problems and challenges encountered during missile/component testing, handling, assembly, disassembly, inspection and repair operations. Candidate provides technical support and solutions within, but not limited to the following areas: 1) Development of test/troubleshooting plans for resolving missile package, component and systems test issues, 2) Isolation and correction of anomalous/nonconforming missile hardware, 3) Determination of compliance to and corrections of missile-test/missile-system processing and requirements documentation, and 4) Maintenance, operation and repair of testing related support equipment

This job does not include design/development engineering related tasks however candidate must have ability to understand existing product designs and recommend changes to our design engineering teams. Individual will be expected to understand electrical schematics and equipment design/functionality for troubleshooting. Candidate should have an understanding and ability to apply basic Electrical Engineering principles, theories and concepts. 

A major job responsibility of this position is focused on technical support for missile systems test and associated support equipment maintenance. The position also includes support and development of varied engineering studies that involve process/product root cause and corrective action, data/metrics analysis and targeted program system/process improvements. Candidates who possess abilities in both electrical and mechanical/aerospace engineering fields are a plus

Position is at the Navy's Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific in Silverdale, WA and requires support to day and swing shift hours. Occasional overtime weekend support is also needed. Some travel is expected to other FBM sites. Candidate works in a team environment under the general direction of a group lead

Basic Qualifications
1) Bachelor's degree in an Electrical or other related Engineering degree program from an accredited college/university
2) Ability to obtain an interim prior to starting employment and ability to maintain a final DoD Secret security clearance
3) Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Desired skills
1) Demonstrated understanding of programming/software algorithms and syntax (C++ & Linux)
2) Experience with using test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters)
3) Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
4) Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
5) Demonstrated ability to work independently
5) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
