Job Details

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Electrical Designer/EITs for our Phoenix Office. The position will be providing Electrical Engineering and related CAD support to the Energy Group for their Solar Photovoltaic projects. The essential functions and responsibilities will be to perform engineering assignments and tasks, compile data, perform electrical design computations (cable sizing, basic protection design, DC voltage drop calculations and optimization, thermal calculation for cables, grounding systems), work in PVSyst and mainly preparing engineering CAD plans and construction details based on existing templates. Works under Project Manager supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected. This position will require an individual that is willing to perform a variety of tasks and work both independently and as part of a team. This position at times will assist the Project Team in technical meetings and correspondence with clients.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field

  • Passed FE Exam

  • 2 years of experience

  • Experience with solar photovoltaic projects would be a plus

  • Working toward obtaining PE

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software

  • Interpersonal and time-management skills                                                                                                  

  • Ability to effectively communicate (written & oral) with peers and clients

  • Proven experience with AutoCAD design in construction projects

  • Proven experience in electrical design, full knowledge of NEC code, PVSyst and experience with circuit sizing calculation tools (ETAP)
