Job Details

Responsibilities

Engineering design, analysis, and development of new and advanced equipment used in the production of single crystal Silicon production.  Taking an idea from concept to finished design and working with Engineers, Vendors, and manufacturing to implement the design.  Modifying PLC code to implement changes in existing software used to control crystal growing processes.  Modifying and/or developing new interface screens using Wonderware.  Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications and work with vendors to implement the new design.  International travel to China to start up equipment and processes in our manufacturing plant.

Additional Technical Skills

  • Is comfortable working around equipment and machinery with a “hands-on” approach.
  • Technically proficient in reading schematics, wiring diagrams and able to work with Electrical Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Must implement process control equipment (pressure and temperature sensors, mass flow controllers, vacuum valves in modifying design of existing process equipment.
  • Is knowledgeable about vacuum systems and their design.
  • Knowledgeable in optics.
  • Familiarity with NEC and NFPA-79 industrial standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the specification, design, and troubleshooting of electrical systems including PLC programming.  
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.   
  • PLC programming experience is required and direct experience with Siemens S-7 PLC processor and crystal growing equipment is preferred. 
  • Must also have experience in creating electrical designs, electrical schematics, process flow diagrams, and equipment interlocks using AutoCAD software. 
  • Must have knowledge and experience in designing and specifying vacuum vessel instrumentation such as mass flow controllers, thermocouples and temperature sensors, pressure gauges and vacuum valves.
  • Additional ability to create and modify user interfaces with Wonderware is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Crystal Growing Equipment is a plus especially F/F CZ-150 and Leybold CZ growing systems. 
  • Ability to speak/read Mandarin is a plus. 
  • Must also be willing to travel to our international facilities.
