Softwear Automation is disrupting the $100B sewn products industry by replacing sewing labor with cutting edge robots. We are located near Georgia Tech's campus, in midtown Atlanta. We are hiring several qualified applicants for full-time positions and internships who are passionate about solving new problems in order to improve the industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Our Electrical Engineer plays a vital part in creating unique and impactful solutions for our clients.  We exist in a constant state of R&D combined with product refinement for our various clients/ prospects, so our team gets the best of both worlds in solution creation!  We are looking for a smart, dedicated individual who wants to work with a top-notch team to truly make a difference via our products.

  • Design electrical system solutions for our products and specific customer solutions
  • Produce electrical schematics and drawings for suppliers, customers, and internal use
  • Design, source, assemble, and troubleshoot electrical systems and wire harnesses for prototype and first article systems
  • Assure systems meet all relevant safety objectives and requirements
  • Assist in resolving operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases
  • Interpret internal and customer requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget

Duties & Responsibilities:


Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, or Control/Automation Systems Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience designing industrial electrical systems
  • Competency with electrical CAD (AutoCad Electrical preferred)
  • Panel design and assembly experience
  • Experience with machine integration, startup, and troubleshooting electrical systems
  • Ability to identify key requirements needed to enhance & develop products
  • Advanced understanding of engineering principles and tools 

 

Bonus Skills

  • Experience working with industrial robotics
  • Programing experience (C++ and / or Python preferred)
  • PCB design experience
