Job Details

Electrical Parts Engineer specializing in passive components to evaluate high reliability EEE (electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical) parts for use in space flight hardware in support of the multiple Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company (LMSSC) programs. Participates in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of electronic, electrical, electromechanical (EEE) parts with a concentration on passive devices (resistors, capacitors, & magnetics). Assist in technical evaluation of manufacturing and Parts issues/concerns, prepare technical and progress reports, author specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports. Central Point of Contact (POC) in resolving passive device issues across LMSSC

Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with EEE parts requirements and/or operation of EEE devices such as resistors, capacitors, magnetics, and relays. Able to collaborate as part of a geographically diverse team to resolve technical issues. Motivated, self-starter who exercises latitude in independently developing solutions to technical issues. Excellent writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, handle shifting priorities and timeline pressure to meet project deadlines

Desired skills
Experience evaluating high reliability commercial, NASA and/or military specification parts for use in Aerospace Satellite applications. Knowledge of design, manufacturing, materials and processes for passive EEE Parts. Demonstrated experience in testing and failure analysis of electrical components. Experience in a project leadership or technical team lead role. Experience communicating with internal and external customers on a regular basis. Experience acting or ability to act as the organizational spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Able to work well virtually with other sites. Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office (Access, Excel, Project) and SAP
Current or previously held TS/SCI clearance within the last 5 years is a plus
