Job Details

Electrical/Electronic Parts Engineer in a central engineering role supporting multiple programs at LM Space. Position requires understanding of electronic piece parts construction and failure modes for active and passive devices. Candidate will work with Design Engineering, Program Management, Parts Materials and Process Control Boards (PMPCB), and internal and external Customers to review and approve Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical Parts for use on satellites or missile programs. Tasks include oversight of subcontractor PMP, generating/reviewing/approving Non-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPARs), reviewing component data packages, resolving vendor issues, reviewing and approving engineering drawings, and assisting in failure analyses

Basic Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline with 5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Knowledge of electronic piece-part construction and failure modes for active and passive devices
- Experienced with Military Standards for active and passive parts including Screening and Qualification requirements
- Experience with high reliability electronics requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work with subcontractors, and internal manufacturing and engineering organizations
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain a US Government DoD Secret security clearance at a minimum

Desired skills
- Knowledge of electronic component manufacturing processes such as wire bonding and die attach
- Experience with military standards such as MIL-STD-1580, MIL-STD-1547, TOR-2006 (8583)-5236, or NASA EEE-INST-002
- Demonstrated experience supporting Material Review Boards or Failure Review Boards and PMPCB's
- Experience with SAP and SAP Q-notes
- Experience with GIDEP Alerts
- Demonstrated experience creating Source Control Drawings (SCDs)
- Demonstrated experience with materials analysis techniques including, but not limited, to XRF, SEM, Cross-Section, or High-Magnification visual inspection
- Control/Cost Account Management experience is a plus
- Ability to problem solve various parts engineering issues with little guidance and supervision
- Willing to obtain and/or previously held TS/SCI Clearance
