Electrical Parts Engineer to evaluate high reliability EEE (electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical) parts for use in flight hardware in support of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program within the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) line of business.
Participates in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of electronic, electrical, electromechanical (EEE) and mechanical devices/parts. Assist in technical evaluation of manufacturing and parts issues/concerns, prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports. Point of Contact (POC) with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement in resolving part issues. Responsible for approval of EEE parts to meet program requirements, part procurement drawing reviews, qualification and acceptance test data reviews, and manufacturer's baseline reviews in accordance with the Program EEE Parts Plans

*Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required for this role
*This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Familiarity with or formal coursework and/or experience in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical components and circuits.

Formal coursework or experience in semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors.

Desired skills
Experience in testing and failure analysis of electrical components.

Working knowledge of design, manufacturing, materials and processes for electronic parts is a plus.

Experience with high reliability technical standards and/or military specifications.

Collaborate as part of a geographically diverse team to resolve technical issues.

Good writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in mechanical and/or electrical design, production/manufacturing, materials and processes.

Strong organization and, interpersonal/team skills.

Ability to work independently and multi-task, demonstrated leadership skills, and a desire to proactively own tasks thru to closure.

Self-starter who can develop solutions to technical issues with only general direction
