ASRC Federal Space & Defense (AS&D), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is seeking candidates for EEE Parts / Components Engineer positions for the Electrical Systems Engineering Services II (ESES II) contract at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.  We also have a Lead EEE Parts / Components Engineer position available to lead the parts engineering team.
 
Role/Responsibilities:
  • Interface with design engineers, commodity specialists, and vendor personnel to identify appropriate spaceflight quality parts, and resolve problems and issues
  • Review parts lists for compliance with NASA GSFC and Project-specific quality and reliability requirements, and participate in Part Control Board and Failure Review Board meetings
  • Develop/review screening, lot acceptance testing, and destructive physical analysis results and provide concise synopsis for lot disposition
  • Provide a technical interface to GSFC and AS&D procurement organizations
  • Some travel may be required (<10%)

 

 

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Physics
  • 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 7 years of experience related to the manufacturing, testing, or selection of Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-mechanical (EEE) parts
  • Demonstrated understanding of the differences between military, space, and commercial part specifications/manufacturing/testing/applications
  • Demonstrated experience with and application of GSFC EEE-INST-002, MIL-STD-1547, Aerospace TOR, ESA Space Standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to prioritize activities and effectively support multiple projects/tasks
