This position is for a Lead Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) Structural Analyst with Lockheed Martin's F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program. This position requires an experienced DADT Analyst to use their technical expertise to analyze aircraft structure and subsystems installations. The candidate will apply his or her understanding of the technical principles of structural analysis toward the solution of technical problems. The candidate will have thorough knowledge in the field of residual stresses, fatigue and fracture material properties, test correlation, and the development of stress intensity factors for complex components using advanced DaDT methodologies. As a Lead, the candidate will also be responsible for the planning, cost, and project execution for preliminary and detailed durability and damage tolerance analysis associated with Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions, durability test correlations, methods development, trade studies, production and modification drawing support, as well as working with other Integrated Product Teams. The DADT Lead will also mentor & train less experienced engineers.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicant will not require a secret clearance to begin employment, but may be submitted for a secret clearance afterwards

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor or above Degree in an Engineering Technical Discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering

Experience with Durability and Damage Tolerance

Experience with fatigue & fracture analysis

Desired skills

Structural analysis hand calculation methods
- Stress Analysis

Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Experience using LM Aero Common Analysis Tools including SLIM/Vision/IMAT



Metallic and composite analysis

Familiarity with CATIA V5

Understanding of drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes

Excellent writing and communication skills
- Microsoft Office
