Job Details

Candidate must be able to develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP's) for a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Utilize basic drafting and software programs to develop MPP's, design tooling, support equipment, process flows
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.
- Support technical equipment and systems used in automated material storage and retrieval
- Manage and implement multifunctional technical projects to reduce operational down-time of automated manufacturing equipment
- Assist with development and sustainment of electronic manufacturing production control systems and material handling systems
- Engage multifunctional teams to drive initiatives for improving automated assembly capabilities and material packaging to facilitate automated manufacturing processes
- Support supplier managed inventory processes and documentation

- This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or in a related discipline
- Experience with programming and operation of automated manufacturing equipment
- Experience with production control systems and material handling
- Basic project management experience
- Basic mechanical and electronic troubleshoot skills

Desired skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming
- Ability to develop and implement technical procedures for machine operation
- Experience with electronic assembly manufacturing processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques, Pro-E or equivalent CAD software, tool design, electronic packaging design, and MRS concepts.
- Leadership experience
- Knowledge of software/systems development
- Experience interacting with equipment vendor technical support personnel
- Experience managing and/or interacting with subcontractors and material suppliers
