Lockheed Martin is seeking a Documentation Engineer to support our Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) Program. This program is critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world. As a Documentation Engineer, you will work as part of an engineering team based in Lexington, Ky.

This position will support engineers in the review of design data that will comply with applicable military specifications, SAE, ANSI, ASME, and other related standards.

The Documentation Engineer will be responsible for reviewing drawings for formatting errors and working with the engineering team to ensure a high level of quality in the design data. The Documentation Engineer will also be responsible for reviewing change documentation and its related incorporations for completeness and correctness

Lockheed Martin is also seeking an individual who will help develop a set of common Design Standards that meets our Customers and Program requirements.

This position will be expected, at times, to be involved with the drawing creation and subsequent Production review processes

Basic Qualifications
• Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with SAE AS50881 and ANSI/ASME Y14.100 or related design and drafting standards
• CATIA V5 experience
• Familiarity with Change Documentation process and all related requirements to this process

Desired skills
• Teamcenter or similar PDM/PLM software tool
• Experience working in an aerospace environment with exposure to or interface with DoD customers
• AutoCAD or other 2D drafting program
