The selected candidate will act as a primary point of contact for managing aircraft systems and associated subsystems for DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages). Tasks will require constant integration of efforts supporting F-35 Production Program Office and Customer expectations. These tasks include routine communication with a network including Systems Engineering leadership, system/subsystem IPT’s, suppliers, procurement, supply chain, business management, and all associate parties involved in DMS for the F-35 program. Under guidance from senior members of the DMS team, the candidate will analyze technical and obsolescence data such as BOM (Bill of Material) as well as other industry reports to identify potential impacts to the F-35 program. Using the aforementioned network of contacts, the candidate will independently analyze obsolete items, assess impact details, and propose potential resolution options. Building effective and successful supplier relations to ensure that SDRL deliverables meet program requirements is a must. Upon mutual agreement from program/customer leadership for a course of action, the candidate will document final resolution and monitor status toward closure of all identified obsolescence cases as contractually required. Further duties will include contributions to annual CDRL deliverables outlining system/subsystem roadmaps and cost estimates for the F-35 program regarding DMS planning. The candidate will also support the overall DMS team’s functions with emphasis upon BOM management, and the creation of Standard Work documentation for process improvements that are currently underway and/or needed to be chartered. The candidate is expected to grow from guidance provided by senior members of the DMS team and become a process owner who can best represent the Systems Engineering organization
**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's in an Engineering/Technical field

- Experience with Systems Engineering processes and practices

- Experience working independently, as well as part of a cross-domain team
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to research on own and experience as an individual contributor in a team environment
- Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt and change to meet customer requirements
- Prior experience with or education in Systems Engineering
- Prior experience in Engineering for the F-35 Program
- Prior experience in working with Suppliers and/or Supply Chain engagement
- Prior experience developing or evaluating Business Case Analysis or Cost-Benefit Analysis
- Experience reviewing and evaluating technical content of Proposals
- Excellent organization, time management, and executive level communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills enabling the candidate to operate in a high volume environment. The ability to multi task
- Must be attentive to detail with emphasis upon executing toward processes and identifying improvements to processes
