Reporting to the Director Radar, Business Development, the incumbent will execute and/or lead Selex Galileo team efforts to capture programs surveillance radar and/or maintenance content with DOD Agencies, Tier One Prime contractors, Platform Reseller and Platform Modifiers.  Incumbent will do market research, prepare business cases, prepare and execute capture plans, execute campaign strategies to facilitate successful award of programs, and will plan initial program implementation within Selex Galileo upon program capture.

  • Duties include customer interface, from functional to command levels, internal Selex Galileo interface to the corporate executive level. The close coordination with Leonardo Business Development personnel supporting capture efforts in Europe is essential.

  • Correlate data; prepare presentations and present status of ongoing capture campaigns to include schedules, funding profiles, probabilities of occurrence/win, etc.

  • Establish, organize and lead proposal efforts to capture assigned programs.

  • As the Radar line of business grows, the incumbent will be required to provide training, leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Selex Galileo and Leonardo personnel not familiar with topics for which the employee is a subject matter expert.


Position Requirements 

  • As a minimum, the candidate shall possess significant experience in our core technology areas with at least 15 years of aerospace and avionics systems marketing experience, or it’s equivalent, and is required to hold a US DOD Secret Clearance.

  • Ability to work effectively from remote location utilizing digital media as the  primary interface 

  • Frequent travel to U.S. customer, DOD agency, Selex Galileo, and Leonardo sites is required.

  • Attendance at trade shows and conferences may be required in furthering the goals and objectives of our business.

  • Effective oral and written communications skills

  • Strong Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills and experience

  • Knowledge of standard DOD competition processes.

  • Ability to work well in support of operations, technical and engineering teams, as well as work independently with limited supervision.

  • Basic knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) acquisition process

  • Ability to negotiate complex sensitive U.S. Defense Industry scenarios 

Desired Skills


  • Basic knowledge of airborne microwave sensors and their potential interference and synergies

  • Knowledge of ITAR and export concerns for FMS and DCS sales to international end users

  • Basic understanding of Information Assurance, Anti Tamper and their potential impact on program execution

  • Basic knowledge of program in-service support business models, e.g. Performance Based Logistics (PBL), etc.

  • Basic knowledge of DOD standard contracting vehicles, e.g. IDIQ, etc.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required; B.S. in Engineering preferred.

  • Domestic and International travel required. 


  • US Secret Clearance required.
