Job Details

The blade engineering group is looking for a highly motivated experienced engineer to lead the blade design group in the optimization of engineering design processes with a focus on quality, productivity and cost savings. The successful candidate is responsible for supporting production and development blade design programs as the subject matter expert in the use of model-based definition tools for both the design and manufacturability of blade components. The desired candidate will be able to work with the Programs, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, the ODA, and other disciplines to provide effective design solutions on blade projects. Duties to include estimating, conceptual through detail design, operations and field support

Basic Qualifications
Experience of 7-10+ years in aircraft conceptual/preliminary design and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. At least 7 years’ experience in CATIA/LCA specializing in surfacing, composite part development, and 3D modeling. Some experience in dynamic systems (transmissions, rotors or blades) and working with composite materials is a plus but not required. Experience interfacing with senior management and suppliers. Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in mentoring and the creation and deployment of design best practices

Desired skills
B.S. in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. M.S. preferred
