The David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science invites applications for one tenured (associate or full professor) faculty and research chair position.

The Cheriton Chairs were created to support world-leading research in traditional and emerging areas of Computer Science and interdisciplinary fields. An outstanding researcher is sought for one endowed Cheriton Chair at the rank of associate or full professor, with tenure. The chair includes substantial research support and teaching reduction. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience; the salary range is $150,000 – $200,000 and negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates. The appointment is expected to commence during the 2018 calendar year.

The David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science is the largest computer science school in Canada, with 89 faculty members. It enjoys an excellent reputation in pure and applied research and houses a diverse research program of international stature. Because of its recognized capabilities, the school attracts exceptionally well-qualified students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
