This particular role is within the Mission Engineering and Operations (MEO) organization supporting the Data Communications group. The position is to support spacecraft operations, primarily through operation software products. The candidate will develop new software products, design, code, test and install products as well as maintain existing products. In support of mission operations, each member of the team is expected to become a subject matter expert in an area of mission support, and to support the rest of the team through reviews, testing and backup support of their products. The candidate will be required to be on-call 24/7 and occasionally work off-shift hours, responding to program needs

Basic Qualifications
- Software and systems engineering/integration utilizing Linux and Windows operating environments
- Ability to work as part of a technical team to meet deadlines for multiple products

*US Citizenship and the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly Clearance

Desired skills
- Previous subsystem experience with MSP (Military Support Program)
- Ability to perform in dynamic situations
- Knowledge of Test and Operations Programming Language (TOPL) and program-specific Command and Control (C&C)
- Demonstrates strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, time-management, and self-motivation skills
- Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to constantly changing requirements and situations
- Demonstrate experience in assessing risk, properly prioritizing, obtaining status, and accomplishing multiple tasks with only general direction
- Programming experience in MATLAB
